Kelvin Building in Price Hike SHOCKER

Today, after a disappointing review of the Graham Kerr Building (coming soon), the universiteabreak team headed to Machine 1 of the Kelvin Building for some post-lunch treats.

I bought my usual KKCC, stuffing the change into my pocket without a second thought.  Tom inserted his 50p and selected a 'Double Decker'.  This is what we saw (dunno how to rotate the video, soz):
Kelvin Building chocolate machine: THE PRICE LABELS ARE GONE!

He tried something else.  Again, not enough credit.  I immediately checked my change (I'd bought the KKCC with a pound coin).  50p.  That's a 25% price-hike, less than 24 hours after I posted the Kelvin Building review.

They're onto us.

  1. Disgusting. We're gonna have to check out the other machines before they up the prices campus-wide. Is it time for more demonstrations?

  2. This is worse than compulsory redundancies - i'll get in touch with the SRC so they can make a rubbish protest poster about it.... "save our vending machines"...
